ALPS plates are made of titanium alloy and can be widely shaped. Its biological rationale is to accelerate fracture healing through minimal contact between plate and bone, and to prevent unnecessary damage to healthy bone and preserve vascular supply through the use of unicortical locking screws. Titanium alloys have excellent biocompatibility and strength.
Pedicle screws are medical implants made of titanium. They are used in spinal fusion surgery to secure rods and plates to the spine. The screws are inserted through the vertebral pedicles at the back of the spinal bones and act as anchor points. They are usually placed in 2 or 3 consecutive spinal segments and connected by a rod.

Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) plate is part of a stainless-steel plate and screw system that merges locking screw technology with conventional plating techniques. The TPLO plate has many similarities to existing bone fixation plates, with a few important improvements. The locking screws are designed to create a fixed-angle construct while following standard AO plating principles.
The TTA procedure is more commonly performed in dogs with a steep tibial plateau, or angle of the top part of the tibia.The front part of the tibia is cut and separated from the rest of the tibia. A special orthopedic spacer is screwed into the space between the two sections of bone to slide the front part of the lower knee forward and up. This moves the patellar ligament (the thick fibrous band that runs on the front of the knee from the top to the bottom of the joint) into better alignment, thereby removing some of the abnormal sliding movement.
This is the most common surgery performed for Dog ACL surgery.Essentially the concept for the surgery is very simple, to stabilize the knee on the outside of the joint by using a single fiber plastic line called a mono-filament. This very strong suture or the line outside of the joint re-establishes the stability of the joint needs when the ACL is torn. This suture is essentially placed in the same orientation or plane that the original ACL ligament was, except it is placed on the outside of the joint.
